Sulam Chi: A Dance of Life
Levi on HuffPo

Sulam Chi (Ladder of Life Force Energy) is a beautiful integration of Tai Chi movement and Kabbalah’s Tree of Life. It is a simple, gentle, yet powerful way to experience divine energy right where we live: in our bodies.
The complete form can be done in as little as 5 minutes in a small space wearing normal clothes. Sulam Chi is ideal for all age groups. It is an efficient, easy-to-learn exercise that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
Levi developed Sulam Chi, also known as The Dance of the Tree, in Jerusalem, Israel in 1999 with Michael Kagan. Michael and Levi had studied Kabbalah under Hadassah Ben-Yishai for a number of years in the late 1990s. Knowing his background in Tai Chi, Michael came to Levi with the idea to create a Kabbalistic movement form inspired by the Sukkot festival ritual of shaking the Four Species. Thus Sulam Chi was born.
Levi began studying Tai Chi Chuan in Boston in 1985 under Master Vincent Chu and his father, Yang-style Master Gin Soon Chu. He has been teaching Tai Chi since 1993.
The Sulam Chi DVD will be available for purchase in January 2012!!!!
The video below, “In-bodying God,” was filmed in early 2000 soon after the form was finalized in Jerusalem. Enjoy this earlier version of Levi!
